What are your working hours?


At Tattoo Gold we don't have set working hours. Our artists all work on their schedules. The times that our studio is open will vary depending on who is working in the studio or not.
Maxime is our lovely studio manager who will be here most days to greet you upon arrival.
As a general guideline, we are open around 11 am until late.
Any questions, or if you have arrived for your appointment, or consult and the studio is closed, then please call 0278828866




How do I book an appointment?


To request an appointment, please click here. You will have to fill in the form as best as you can, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Alternatively, check out our artist profiles, select your artist, view their social media profiles and contact them directly for an appointment or consultation.




Do you accept walk-ins?


Yes, but this can not be guarantee, as it will depend on availability and what you are wanting done.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo at Tattoo Gold?


We have a strict No Minors policy. Not only must you be 18, you will also have to provide identifcation at Tattoo Gold.




How much does a tattoo cost?


This all depends on what you are wanting done, the size, body placement, and the artist chosen. It is best to have a clear consultation with your chosen artist for an estimated quote.




How can I get a price quote?


Please fill in the "Request an appointment" form, and we will email you back as soon as possible.




How should I prepare for my appointment?


We recommend that you are well-rested, showered and have eaten before you come to your appointment. Please do eat prior, not when you arrive.
Being tattooed consumes a lot of your energy and adrenaline, so it pays to bring a meal or two with you, sugary snacks and fluid to keep you hydrated - we have a fridge you are welcome to use.
Please do not drink or party the day/night before your appointment.
If you take any blood thinning medication, please inform us.
It's recommended that you moisturize your skin to make it easier for your artist.
Some of our artists prefer to shave your skin themselves, so check in with them prior before arranging this.
Stay out of the sun at least 2 weeks prior to the appointment; your artist will not be able to tattoo flaky, sunburnt skin. Bring deodorant, you may sweat during your appointment, and this is normal. Be kind to your artist, everyone appreciates good body and oral hygiene. You may feel nervous prior to your appointment, and that is ok. The best thing to do is to relax and stay as calm as possible. Your artist will do their best to ensure you are comfortable and well looked after. If you feel they haven't during your time with us, please let us know. If you have any questions or unsure about your design, kindly ask your artist prior, so on the day, your experience goes as smooth as possible. Wear appropriate clothing depending on the placement of the tattoo and bring a hair tie if need be.




Where are you located?


Tattoo Gold is located on 18 Barrys Point Road, 0622 Takapuna - Auckland, New Zealand.




Where can I park?


We have 5 parking spots available at our shop. It is possible that they all will be vacant, so please make sure you leave on time before your appointment. The nearest paid parking will be at Tournament Parking Como Street Carpark. Please be aware that this is a 9 minute walk to the studio.




Do you offer piercings?


No, sorry Tattoo Gold doesn't offer piercing service.




How do I take care of my fresh tattoo?


All of this information will be given to you at the end of your tattoo appointment by your artist.




What forms of payment do you accept?


We only accept Cash on the day of your appointment unless arranged otherwise with your particular artist. We do not have Eftpos.




Do I need to pay a deposit to confirm an appointment?


Yes, all artists will require a Non-Refundable deposit to confirm your appointment.
The price of a deposit depends on the tattoo and your chosen artist.




Do you sell aftercare or merchandise in store or online?


Yes! We do have a range of the Worlds best natural, organic aftercare products available for purchase in the studio; prices vary depending on the product, so please visit us in store for this.
We do have a range of T-shirts currently available in the studio only as we are not operating our online store at the moment.




Who can I bring to my appointment for support?


You can bring family and friends, but please keep it limited to 1 to 2 people.
Please don't bring your kids, as our tattoo studio is strictly 18+ only.
Our tattoo studio takes hygiene very serious for that reason pets are not allowed in Tattoo Gold. Thank you for understanding.
